Our strategic vision for the future - a road map that guides how we will continue to nurture, educate and support every child to let their light shine.
He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake.
Psalm 23:3
School development plan 2026/27
As we embark on the 2026/27 academic year, St George's Church of England Infant and Preschool is committed to enhancing our educational environment, ensuring it supports the growth and development of every child. Our development plan is designed with the ethos "Let Your Light Shine," encouraging each student to excel and embrace their unique potential. We are dedicated to implementing strategic improvements that foster an inclusive, stimulating, and supportive learning atmosphere for our young learners.
At St George’s, we believe that learning extends beyond the classroom. Our Enrichment Strategy sets out how we provide children with a wide range of opportunities and experiences to develop new skills, discover interests, build confidence and create lasting memories. Rooted in our vision, “Let your light shine,” we aim to ensure that every child has the opportunity to flourish academically, socially and personally. Our approach reflects the Department for Education’s Enrichment Framework for Schools and Colleges (2026), supporting our commitment to an inclusive, broad and meaningful enrichment offer for all children.
St George's Infant and Preschool has prioritised sustainability as one of the core objectives in our School Development Plan (SDP) and we are committed to working towards embedding sustainability into all our future thinking, decisions and direction.
At the heart of our community of children, staff and stakeholders, St George's has a central role to play in educating its community about the importance of sustainability. To achieve this, we must first practice what we preach. To this end, we have signed up to the Let's Go Zero campaign, declaring our aim to work towards becoming carbon zero by 2030. In doing so, we're joining schools across the UK in this national campaign to show the overwhelming support for zero carbon schools and inviting government and local councils to work with us to reach this goal.
