Preschool
Welcome to St George's Preschool. We are at an exciting time in our school journey, as we begin our next step in providing high quality care and education for the children of our local community, opening our doors to preschool aged children.
At St George's we believe children's learning should be understood developmentally so we plan exciting and inspiring learning opportunities according to every child's individual learning and developmental needs. All teaching and learning activities are underpinned with a focus on the Characteristics of Effective Learning and the importance of learning through play.
Children can attend as soon as they turn 3, although government funded sessions are available only from the term after a child's 3rd birthday.
Our opening hours are Monday to Friday, term time only (in line with the main school) and cover 38 weeks of the year. Within that we offer 10 sessions:
- Extended Morning Session (payable): 8.45am-9.15am
- Morning Session: 9.15am-12.15pm
- Afternoon Sessions: 12:15pm - 3:15pm
We require children to attend a minimum of 5 sessions per week.
If you are looking for a setting that puts your child at its heart, nurturing each individual in a supportive, fun and engaging environment with highly skilled staff, then we would love to welcome you to our St George's family.
